We never planned to become missionaries. We simply said yes to God—and that yes carried us across an ocean.

We said yes. He has been faithful every step of the way.
Our story is not about extraordinary people.
It is about an extraordinary God who calls ordinary people to trust Him, follow Him,
and go wherever He leads.
Becoming pastors of Centerville Assembly of God was the fulfillment of a call God had placed on our lives many years before. It became more than a church to us—it became our family. We poured our hearts into the people, celebrated victories together, walked through difficult seasons together, and watched God change lives. So when God began calling us into missions, saying yes came with a real cost. Following Him meant leaving people we deeply loved and a ministry that had become part of who we were. Yet we knew the same God who had called us to Centerville was now calling us to the nations. Leaving was painful, but obedience was worth the cost.
FROM BONDAGE TO FREEDOM.Â
Before God ever sent me across an ocean, He first had to rescue me.
I know what it is to be bound by alcohol, to run from the call of God, and to wonder what my life would become. But Jesus changed everything. The same God who set me free eventually called me to preach—and then sent our family to the nations.

You could go
Called, Confirmed, CommittedÂ

The Call
We Said Yes
God used a missionary message to stir our hearts toward missions. What first seemed impossible became a call we could no longer ignore. We surrendered and said yes to go wherever God would send us.

THE CONFIRMATION
As we entered missionary training, God confirmed the call in an incredible way. We discovered that other missionary families had also been called to French Polynesia. God wasn't just calling us—He was putting together a team.

THE JOURNEY
Approval was only the beginning. Training, raising support, language school, leaving home, and learning a new culture all became part of the journey that eventually brought us to the islands of French Polynesia.

Its worth the Cost

We never thought that God would lead us to the remote islands of French Polynesia. When we prayed," God ,send someone," God said "You could go." And now we find ourselves serving as missionaries with AGWM serving in French Polynesia. This calling is our mission: partnering with local churches to spread the Gospel, empowering believers, developing ministries to help those struggling with addiction, and establishing the church on every inhabited island.
